Water Management Consultants (WMC) - Schlumberger Water Services (SWS), Peru and Chile

As part of our continued growth we are recruiting in our South American offices, to support our expanding portfolio of water resources, mining hydrology and environmental projects..   Available job opportunities include:

Senior Environmental Geochemists – Peru and Chile (updated 01 Feb 2009)
Based in Lima or Santiago. To lead mining environmental geochemistry projects and staff with guidance from the Principal.  Occasional national and international travel will be required.

Requirements:
  • Good first degree in Earth Science or related subject with MSc in geochemistry
  • At least 8 years’ relevant experience
  • Broad knowledge of water related issues of mining
  • Competence in surface and groundwater protection
  • ARD and mine closure experience
  • Project management experience
  • Fluent English with capability in Spanish an advantage. 

Sales Engineer - Peru (updated 01 Feb 2009)

Based in Lima, you will be leading a project to develop our new software products. You should have the flexibility and desire to undertake occasional international travel and assignments.

Requirements:

  • Master degree in hydrogeology
  • Spanish speaking and fluent in English
  • Less than 5 years of experience
  • Exposure to mining projects
  • Knowledge of GIS software
  • Technically oriented
  • Good communications skill
Geologist - Peru (updated 01 Feb 2009)
Based in Lima, you will be working in multi-disciplinary teams involved in mining hydrology projects in South America and overseas.  Occasional national and international travel will be required.

Requirements:
  • Good first degree in Earth Science or related subject with MSc preferred
  • A willingness to take part in field programmes
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Fluent English with capability in Spanish an advantage. 
Senior Hydrogeologists / Project Managers - Peru and Chile (updated 01 Feb 2009)
Based in Lima or Santiago, you will be leading multi-disciplinary teams involved in mining hydrology projects in South America and overseas.  Occasional national and international travel will be required.

Requirements:
  • Good first degree in Earth Science or related subject with MSc in hydrogeology
  • at least 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Broad knowledge of water related issues of mining
  • Competence in dewatering and environmental aspects
  • Project management experience
  • Fluent English with capability in Spanish an advantage. 
Junior & Intermediate Hydrogeologists - Peru or Chile (updated 01 Feb 2009)
Based in Lima or Santiago, you will be working in multi-disciplinary teams involved in mining hydrology projects in South America and overseas.  Occasional national and international travel will be required.

Requirements:
  • Good first degree in Earth Science or related subject with MSc in hydrogeology
  • A willingness to take part in field programmes
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Fluent English with capability in Spanish an advantage.
